Custom CNC Machined Aluminum Parts Manufacturer

Custom CNC machined aluminum parts made to customer drawings, including 6061 and 7075 components for prototypes and production with dimensional inspection and finishing.

A production buyer does not choose aluminum machining only because the material is lightweight. The real question is whether the supplier can hold critical features, control distortion, protect cosmetic surfaces and repeat the result when a sample becomes a production order.
CUSTOM CNC MACHINED ALUMINUM PARTS
Zync Precision manufactures custom aluminum components from customer drawings and 3D models. We support CNC milling and turning for prototypes, pilot batches and repeat production, with process planning based on geometry, alloy, temper, tolerances, finish and inspection requirements.
COMMON ALUMINUM ALLOYS
6061 aluminum is widely used for industrial housings, brackets, plates, manifolds and machine components because it combines machinability, strength, corrosion resistance and finishing options. 7075 aluminum offers higher strength and is often selected for loaded fixtures, robotics components and performance products. Other grades can be evaluated against the drawing and application. Material substitutions require customer approval when alloy or temper affects function, compliance or finishing.
PARTS WE MACHINE
Typical projects include housings and enclosures, mounting brackets, base plates, manifolds, covers, heat-sink components, fixtures, robotic parts, automation components, instrument parts and other non-standard components made to drawing.
The suitable process depends on the part. Prismatic components may use CNC milling, rotational features may use CNC turning, and parts containing both may require multiple operations. Complex geometry, thin walls and critical datum relationships are reviewed before the process is confirmed.
TOLERANCES AND DESIGN REVIEW
A useful quotation separates general dimensions from function-critical features. Tight tolerances can increase setup, cycle time, tooling, inspection and scrap risk, so they should be applied where they protect assembly, alignment, sealing or performance.
During review, we consider datum strategy, tool access, corner radii, wall thickness, deep pockets, threaded features, distortion risk and measurement method. Precision capability is confirmed against the specific drawing, material, geometry and inspection plan rather than promised as one universal number.
CONTROLLING THIN WALLS AND DISTORTION
Thin aluminum components can move when residual stress is released or material is removed unevenly. Depending on the design, the plan may use balanced roughing, staged material removal, stable workholding, controlled finishing passes and inspection after the part has stabilized. Buyers should identify flatness, parallelism, bore relationships and sealing surfaces that affect assembly.
SURFACE FINISHING
Finishing can include as-machined surfaces, bead blasting, anodizing, hard anodizing, chemical conversion coating, painting and other customer-specified treatments, subject to quotation review. Coating thickness can change fits, threads and sealing dimensions. Drawings should state whether critical dimensions apply before or after finishing and identify surfaces that require masking.
QUALITY CONTROL AND DOCUMENTATION
Inspection planning begins with the drawing. Depending on project requirements, inspection may include incoming material verification, first-piece approval, in-process checks, final dimensional inspection and CMM measurement. Customers can specify dimensional reports, material certificates, coating certificates, certificates of conformity or first-article reports. Include documentation requirements in the RFQ so they are reflected in price and lead time.
PROTOTYPE TO REPEAT PRODUCTION
A successful sample proves that one set of parts can be made. Repeat production also requires controlled revisions, stable fixtures, approved material, tool-life management, consistent finishing and clear inspection frequency. A pilot batch can verify manufacturability, dimensions, appearance, packaging and assembly performance before a larger release.
WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR RFQ
Send the 2D PDF drawing and 3D STEP model, aluminum alloy and temper, prototype and production quantities, critical tolerances and fits, surface finish, anodizing or coating requirements, inspection documents, packaging needs, destination and required delivery date.
REQUEST AN ENGINEERING REVIEW
Send your aluminum part drawing to Zync Precision for manufacturability review and quotation. We will review the geometry, material, quantity, tolerances, finishing, inspection scope and delivery requirements before confirming the manufacturing plan.
